Very little research in Canada has explored the experiences of people living with dementia who are also part of an ethno-racial community. As more researchers turn their attention toward filling this gap, it is imperative that they do so in a way that upholds the rights, dignity and safety of people living with dementia who are members of ethno-racial communities.
Join Carrie McAiney, Schlegel Research Chair in Dementia, and Navjot Gill, Ph.D. Candidate in Public Health (Aging, Health, and Well-being), as they explore MAREP’s new Inclusive Research Guidebook. Designed to help researchers engage with people living with dementia from ethno-racial communities with respect and thoughtfulness, this Guidebook provides practical tools and insights for all stages of the research process.
This is an essential learning opportunity for researchers and students who want to lead with empathy, practice equity, and create more impactful research. Don’t miss your chance to be part of the change toward inclusive dementia studies.
